Event - 20th Anniversary INVITATION: The invitations is designed inside a high end terra cotta, one pocket folder. A cool whimsical floral motif is used to depict her, while a photo of metal diamond plate, shadowed for high texture depicts him. A thin black line connects them. Above the information 2 paragraphs bring guests from the moment of their engagement to now. Inside the left pocket is directions to the venue designed with the same fonts as the invitation. A watermark of the whimsical motif placed behind the main text with the diamond plate defining the left border give a sophisticated and unified feeling without being “matchy matchy”. The invitation folder is wrapped in 2” wide cream ribbon and sealed with a large raised velvet rectangle with a graphical section of the floral motif. Rich silver envelopes are purchased to highlight the metal - the stage is set. FAVORS with CUSTOM WRAPPING PAPER: Custom designed and printed wrapping paper is created with the same style of the invitation. A band of black with the couples’ name is carefully placed to meet on the back of the gift, to give the feeling of a ribbon. The same 2” cream ribbon is attached in an avant-garde way to reveal a card. The card notes the event and is placed at an angle, while the black line within the card matches up to the cream ribbon. Chocolates imported from Germany are waiting for the guests inside. PLACE CARDS: The main body of the place card has the same feel as the invitation. To keep with the more sophisticated casual vibe and buck tradition, both guests first names are printed in the casual script font on the first line, with their last name in block font directly underneath. The table names are die cut into black circles and attached to the place card with metal circles. CAKE DESIGN: Following through with the idea of the couples’ opposite nature, whimsical feminine gum paste flowers are created for the cake topper and placement around the cake layers, while a black and silver chopper is placed on the middle tier. GUEST BOOK: A metal covered three ring journal is used as the foundation for an event guest book. A custom created label is printed and placed over the top half of the cover to replicate the theme. The book is placed at the entrance of the event with the card box and candles, for guests to send their best wishes. KEEPSAKE BOX: A black box with white stitching is created with the whimsical floral design inside. It is used to hold a black and silver chopper and dress up the guest book area. Later the box can be used to remind the couple of their very special evening. The couple, although almost 40, were young, cool and more on the casual side themselves. He being a biker and custom chopper builder - she a sporty girly girl, into glam and pretty things. We wanted the invitation to portray that juxtaposition of opposites, standing on their own and combing to create something beautiful.
